As one of Bristol’s most iconic landmarks, the Clifton Suspension Bridge gives the city character and is one of the most photographed images from the region. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed in 1864, it spans the Avon Gorge, connecting Clifton to some more rural parts of North Somerset. Fond memories crossing over this steel structure along with thousands of other revelers, whilst heading to the Ashton Court Music festival, remain firmly planted in the mind. This rather impressive Time lapse Video created by Jamie Brightmore shows Brunel’s magnificent feat of engineering in all its glory through the day and into the night.
